《牧羊犬的攻击》正如法国作家莫伯桑的短篇小说一样曲折巧妙，妻子的情人赠她一件名贵大衣，为了瞒过丈夫，妻子假托以拾到一张寄存票，好让丈夫取回那大衣，不至疑心。本来是天衣无缝的妙计，孰料棋差一着，丈夫取回的居然只是一见廉价的兔皮大衣.....妻子郁闷兼疑惑，待到晚间家里举办晚会方才真相大白：她的妹妹居然穿着那件名贵大衣参加，原来丈夫与小姨子......既然如此，妻子只能哑巴吃黄连，自喝闷酒了。
